Iris, a blind pug puppy is the last to be adopted from the litter. She wonders what life will be like in her new home and if there will be others like herself to teach her how to be a "good dog" for the family. As she enters the house for the first time, she hears a purring coming from a corner. Atlas, a big loaf of a grey cat-who currently reins the home, grins. The sweet and comical story follows the two characters as they discover their major differences. Will their differences keep them apart? Or bind them together? The illustrations alone tell a meaningful tale. Starting out with only minimal color, the pictures eventually lead to, and end in a full spectrum of color. This story is about acknowledging uniqueness, overcoming obstacles, and forming friendships.
