The Word and You: A Lectionary-Based Exploration of the Bible: From Proper 17, Year C, to Proper 16, Year A

The second of the popular The Word and You series, this volume is an all-in-one guide for adults or older youth who want to prayerfully study a weekly Bible reading from the Revised Common Lectionary. Devotional material and helpful background information on the scripture prompt the reader to "enter the Word," "engage the Word," "respond to the Word," "go with the Word." Simulating discussion questions encourage group exploration or individual reflection on the biblical themes. The Word and You includes sessions for September to September of lectionary years C and A, regardless of the actual calendar year in which it is used. It coordinates with The Inviting Word, a curriculum for all ages, and can be used with Bible study groups, pastor-led lectionary study groups, and individual learners.
