DESCRIPTION
Conner McGinn, an American steel millionaire, wanted to purchase some jewels and decided to get in touch with the Honorable Richard Rollison (aka ‘The Toff’) concerning a real problem that had arisen. However, he chose the one day that the Toff was not interested in even discussing the matter, as it was the first day of the Cricket Test Match at The Oval, and nothing was going to stop him attending. Nevertheless, persistence did pay off, and ironically if the Toff had not been crazy about cricket the deeply mystifying case, involving murder and kidnapping, might never have been solved.
